Safariconnect is operated by Cresyx AI Labs. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We are committed to handling your information with respect and transparency.
1. Information We Collect
- Tourist data: When you use the planner, we collect your safari preferences including budget range, travel dates, party size, wildlife interests, comfort level, and departure country. If you submit an inquiry or review, we also collect your name and email address.
- Operator data: Operators who apply to join the platform provide their full name, business email, phone number, website, business description, years of operation, pricing, specialties, and legal documents including business licence, tourism licence, tax certificate, and insurance.
- Payment data: When you purchase a full itinerary, we collect your name and email to initiate a payment through Flutterwave. We do not store your card details - all payment data is handled by our payment directory directly.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymised data about how users interact with the platform including pages visited and features used, solely to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your personalised safari itinerary using AI.
- To connect you with a matched verified safari operator.
- To send your inquiry to the relevant operator and send you confirmation.
- To allow operators to manage their applications, profiles, and inquiries.
- To verify operator legitimacy through document review.
- To send transactional emails about your inquiry, payment, or application status.
- To improve platform quality through anonymised usage analytics, only where you have opted in.
3. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). All tables have Row Level Security enabled.
- Operator documents are stored in Supabase Storage with signed URL access that expires after one hour.
- Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
- API keys and secrets are stored as server-only environment variables and are never exposed to the browser.
- We use Resend for transactional email delivery. Emails are sent over encrypted connections.
4. Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
- Your inquiry details are shared with the matched safari operator so they can respond to you directly.
- Your name and email are shared with our payment directory only for the purpose of processing your payment.
- Review content you submit may be displayed publicly on the platform after moderation.
- We may share anonymised, aggregated data for platform analytics purposes.
5. Data Retention
- Generated itineraries are stored indefinitely so you can access them via your saved link.
- Inquiry records are retained for 24 months for operator and platform records.
- Payment records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance.
- Operator applications and documents are retained for the duration of the operator's relationship with the platform.
- You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting support@cresyx.tech.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
- Safariconnect does not use advertising cookies.
- Supabase Auth uses localStorage to maintain your authentication session.
- Your theme preference, display settings, and notification preferences are stored in localStorage on your device.
- Saved itinerary bookmarks are stored in localStorage keyed to your email.
7. Your Rights
- You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
- You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- You have the right to opt out of promotional communications at any time via Settings.
- You have the right to opt out of usage analytics at any time via Settings.
